The CTIA(Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association)represents the U.S. wireless communications industry and companies in the mobile ecosystem, supporting a connected future. Members of CTIA include companies throughout the mobile ecosystem,eg. wireless carriers, device manufacturers, component suppliers, and apps and content companies. As a general member, Sunway contributes to the development of the wireless industry in the US and CTIA's efforts in several areas.
Sunway Communications is a member of the CEMC (Center for Electromagnetic Compatibility) at the University of Missouri. In terms of electromagnetic compatibility, Sunway has since long maintained collaborative research and development with CEMC member companies and has become an industry standard maker.
The Wireless Power Consortium is a cooperative organization of independent companies. It was founded to create and promote the widespread adoption of Qi, an international wireless charging standard compatible with multiple rechargeable electronic devices. Sunway Communication is one of the first companies to join the wireless charging alliance to ensure that our customers are provided with convenient, easy-to-use, interoperable and compatible wireless charging products.
USB-IF is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing the Universal Serial Bus technology. The USB organization provides standard transmission interface specifications. Sunway Communication joined the USB-IF organization to ensure that the data cable / connector products produced meet the requirements of the latest USB-IF test specifications.
China Electronic Component Industry Association, is a national, industrial organization voluntarily formed by enterprises, institutions and individuals related to electronic components and materials, and is a non-profit organization for mutual benefit. Sunway Communication has actively joined and contributed to the development of the electronic component industry.
CIC (China Institute of Communications) was established in 1978 and has committees on antenna and RF technology, IoT, as well as wireless and mobile communications. It includes academics and experts from the Academy of Sciences as well as the Academy of Engineering. As a member of the CIC, Sunway Communication will strengthen its co-operation with other well-known enterprises in the industry based on its RF expertise, jointly develop relevant strategies and standards, and actively carry out research in industrial applications, thus seeking to contribute to the development of the communication industry as a whole.
The FiRa Consortium was founded in August 2019 by HID Global, Bosch, NXP Semiconductors, and Samsung. Since then, several other industry leaders have further solidified the consortium through their memberships. It is the most authoritative organization in the UWB (Ultra-Wideband) industry. As a member of FiRa, Sunway will work together with UWB upstream and downstream ecosystem partners to take full advantage of opportunities offered by this technology and leverage its unique advantages, hence further enhancing development speed of the industry.
The Research Association for Mechatronic Integrated Devices e. V., also known as the 3-D MID e.V., organizes members throughout the entire 3-D MID ecosystem, such as research organizations, equipment suppliers, raw material suppliers, component suppliers and product companies. Learn more about 3D MID technologies here. The technology is today firmly established across multiple industries, such as consumer electronics, automotive, industrial, IoT, and medical. Within those applications products such as sensors, antennas, payment devices, lighting and LED carriers and many more has relied on 3D MID merits for around 20 years now. Through its membership, Sunway Communication aims to continually support the research and technology development, and to further usage of the technology to an ever increasing amount of applications.
CCC (Car Connectivity Consortium) is a cross-industry organization advancing global technologies for smartphone-to-car connectivity solutions. The Board of Directors of CCC include individuals from the charter member companies Apple, BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, LG, Panasonic, Samsung, and Volkswagen. The organization’s 100 plus members represent a large portion of the global automotive and smartphone markets. As a member of the Car Connectivity Consortium, Sunway Communication will continue to contribute to automotive innovation and to create sustainable and flexible ecosystems that standardize the interfaces between vehicles and smartphones.
IWPC (International Wireless Industry Consortium) was founded in 1998 by Don Brown and Rene Douville. The objective of the IWPC was, and still is, to bring together the entire wireless industry supply chain to find ways to identify new markets and new products and to find ways to work together to reduce costs, reduce time to market, and improve performance of all things wireless. In joining the IWPC, Sunway will join others in driving the industry forward through workshops attendance and other activities.
